Continuing a long-standing family business tradition that began in 1854, when Francisco Rivière Bonneton introduced chain-link fencing to Spain from England.

1980

Cercados Rivisa is founded in Barcelona.

1987

The company becomes a Public Limited Company (Sociedad Anónima).

1990

Rivisa is awarded most of the fencing works for Spain’s first high-speed rail line (AVE), from Madrid to Seville.

1991

Rivisa grows, expands, and is exclusively awarded the perimeter security fencing for the Barcelona '92 Olympic Games.

1992

The original workshop in Barcelona is relocated to Palau de Plegamans, where a locksmith workshop is also opened. The first tube profiling machine is installed there, used for manufacturing Lux tubes.

1993

Opening of the first branch in Tarragona to improve coverage in southern Catalonia.

1994

The company moves entirely to a new 7,000 m² facility in Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona), where a new robotic welding section is installed for the manufacturing of railings and gates.

1996

Opening of the Valencia branch to improve market coverage in the Levante region.

1997

Rivisa installs a new production line for welded mesh panels.

2000

Acquisition of Arga Arpasa S.L.U. in Pamplona and Levantina de Cerramientos y Mallas S.A. in Valencia. Both are integrated as Rivisa Group branches, serving the northern and eastern Spanish markets.

The company name is changed from Cercados Rivisa, S.A. to Rivisa Industrial de Cerramientos Metálicos, S.A.

2001

Installation of a new welded mesh production line. Opening of the Madrid branch in Fuenlabrada, serving the central and southern parts of the Iberian Peninsula.

2002

Opening of the Zaragoza branch to serve the Aragon region.

2003

Obtaining the ISO 9001:2000 certification. Rivisa becomes the first Spanish perimeter protection system manufacturer and installer to earn this certification.

2004

Rivisa acquires a 130,000 m² plot in Santa Margarida de Montbui (Barcelona), where all production is relocated, enabling expansion and industrial development. The headquarters remain in Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona), where the central offices and Barcelona branch are located.

2005

Installation of an automated painting line in the new factory and market launch of the Protecline anti-corrosion coating system. Opening of a commercial office in France.

2007

Opening of the Galicia branch in Puxeiros-Mos, serving the Galician and Asturian provinces.

2008

Strong sales growth in international markets. Distribution agreements signed in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Morocco.

2010

Launch of a new Electronic Security Systems department to complement physical perimeter solutions and offer integrated security systems.

2016

Rivisa consolidates its international presence in over 15 countries and opens a new production line in Santa Margarida de Montbui, incorporating new machinery and expanding capacity.

2019

Rivisa renovates and expands its headquarters in Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona).

2020

Una pandemia global nos afectó a todos, y Rivisa consiguió fortalecer sus protocolos de seguridad, potenciar el teletrabajo, optimizar procesos y reactivar mercados con éxito, saliendo más resiliente y mejor preparada tras el COVID.

2021

RIVISA firma un contrato con Leroy Merlín y se convierte en proveedor en España de verjas residenciales. Desde abril 2021, Rivisa realiza envíos periódicos a sus diferentes almacenes y puntos de venta nacionales.

2022

RIVISA lanza una innovadora APP para realizar presupuestos online de cerramientos, integrada con Google Maps y compatible con tablets. Con ella se pretende evitar desplazamientos, ofrece acceso exclusivo, agiliza procesos y facilita el trabajo de los clientes.
